Oats are very versatile and nutritious. Due to its complex nutrient content it is an important food source for your health. The large oat flakes are made of whole grains of oat. Oat flakes can be used to make a variety of food such as porridge, mueslis, granola , meat and vegetable balls, savoury pastry  and desserts. 

It is easy to digest, it contains a large amount of water soluble fibre (such as beta-glucan) and many vitamins and trace elements.

The beta-glycans contribute to the maintenance of normal cholesterol levels in the blood.* 

*The beneficial effect can be achieved with a daily beta-glucan intake of 3 g that consists of oats, oat bran, barley, barley bran or a mixture of these.
